Terms of use

BestSeat (also called Work Haven Map) is a guide to laptop-friendly places. It lists real venues, shows a laptop score worked out from sourced details, and lets you save favorites, write reviews and ask an AI assistant about spots.

To use favorites, reviews, reports, or the AI features you sign in with an email address or Google account. We store the email address attached to your account and your saved spots. Your email is used to identify your account, deliver sign-in and password-reset emails, and show your display name on reviews you post.

Your saved spots are private to you and aren't shown to other people. You can ask for your account and its data to be deleted at any time — see Contact below.

Spot facts — names, addresses, opening hours, ratings and review counts — come from Google Maps. Wi-Fi, power and noise details appear only when we have a source for them, and every sourced claim links to that source. Anything unconfirmed stays marked "Not verified yet". The laptop score is calculated by BestSeat from those facts; it is our own figure and is not a Google rating.

Photos load directly from Google Maps and are credited to their photographers, or are photos uploaded by the BestSeat team with a visible credit. Reviews written on BestSeat are public and show the display name of the person who wrote them.

When you write a review or report a correction, we store that content so it can be shown on the site or checked by the team. Don't post anything that isn't yours to share or that breaks the law. We may edit or remove reviews and reports, and we may use corrections to update listing details.

Questions you type into the Ask and recommendation features are sent to an AI service to generate an answer. If you connect an outside AI assistant, it can only see public spot information and your own saved spots, and only after you approve the connection.

If you allow location access, it's used in your browser to sort spots by distance from you. We don't store your location.

Google Maps data, photos and review excerpts belong to Google and their authors, and are shown under their terms with credit and links back to the source. Spot facts such as addresses and hours aren't owned by anyone, but we still link to where each one came from. Venue names belong to their owners; listing a venue isn't an endorsement by them.

Hours, Wi-Fi, outlets and noise change often. We work from sources and corrections, but we can't guarantee every detail is current — check with the venue if it matters. BestSeat is provided as-is, without warranties, and isn't liable for decisions you make based on the listings.
